So ends today, the first day of my XMAS holidays. Only 3 more weeks to go :)
I tell you, it is well deserved too. We have been so busy at work over the last week, like you wouldnt believe. I was off queue Tuesday (afternoon), Wednesday, and Thursday doing some project work. Joe and myself at work had to change a little over 800 DSL port profiles. For those of you who have no idea what that means, it translates to a lot of hard work! Esp over 3 days. So I'm a bit mentally worn out and my wrists are a bit sore from all the typing. I have been doing wrist exercises and micropauses and getting my posture right and stuff so I'm doing surprisingly well today.
Went christmas shopping at St Lukes today with Mary, Harriet and Sophia. I know what you're thinking, shopping with 3 women, ARRRRRR!. Nah it was all good. Harriet and I were very productive with our shopping, thats why I love her she can move quick when necessary.
Sophia loved it too. She ate a whole lot of noodles in the food court, rode on one of those little carosel rides, and ran round the centre yelling and touching stuff. I took Soph off to the toy section in Farmers as well which was funny. She ran round the isles in circles trying to touch as many toys as she could. I settled on getting her this neat little fisher and price singing train thinggie. So much for me buying her a new book for christmas!
To those of you who we didnt and couldnt afford to get gifts, we're sorry but we love you all and are thinking about you and hoping you all have a happy and safe christmas. Take comfort though because already we have one ungrateful person that we shouldnt have bothered getting anything for! :)
Til Next Time
- Jonathan
P.S. I promise I will get Harriet posting her thoughts on this thing. Just got to teach her how to use it. Good things take time :)

Zoo Trip
We went to Auckland Zoo today with Amanda and Selena. Was lots of fun. Amanda turned up late (as usual :P). We drove out to Western Springs, somehow though Amanda managed to get lost on the way (despite us agreeing prior that she would follow our car to the zoo!). Really funny. It's exactly how I imagine Harriet would be if she could drive.
Anyway we got there about 2pm ish and went straight to the Zoo cafe (I think its called Darwin Cafe or something). Harriet and I ordered some food while Sophia and Selena sat in their prams stuffing their faces with marmite sammies! Those babies can really pack it in!!!
When we finished eating I thought hey, it might be a good idea to get Sophia out of her pram and walking round. NOT!!! We didn't manage to get her back into it until we were heading home. Its all good, I think she was having fun. She kept going up to random kids trying to make friends. I think the older kids were a bit taken back by this lil baby trying to befriend them.
We saw kangaroos, Ostrich's, Pecock's, Meerkats, Heaps of birds, Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs, Elephant's, Hippo's, Giraffe's, Zebra's, and more... Unfortunately we didn't get to see everything as the Zoo closed at 5:30. Bummer. We will have to go back some time.
Should also go back to Western Springs for a picnic sometime. I used to love going there as a kid. Great opportunity for sophia to chase some ducks (and for some cocky ducks to chase her!!!).
Home now. We all tired and a bit grumpy, but it was a good day overall...
Good evening all
P.S. Yes Claire im wearing the t-shirt you gave me, and yes Jason im wearing your watch (still annoyed at you about that btw, you're lucky I like you :)

They're Gone!!!!
That's right, Lizz and Jason have finally left us early this morning.
Yesterday after work and dinner with Tsz, we went over to their house for leaving drinks and just to generally say goodbye. By my own brilliant genious I thought it would be a good idea to go later in the night so Sophia could have a nap first (we had to take her with us). How did I come up with that idea!
We ended up coming home because we were all so tired and finally got to sleep at 1am. Normally that would be ok except we had to be at the airport at 5am as their flight was at 7:30!!! So we got home, had round about 2 and a half hours of sleep, picked Rob up, and headed off to the airport.
So we arrived about 5ish and met up with them and Ruth and Lorna. Had breakfast at the airport. I have to say, the food selection at that time of the morning seems to consist of coffee and Mc Donalds! After breakfast they headed off to the gate. We stayed a bit and watched the planes take off. Sophia and Lorna seemed to think it was awesome.
Anyhow, good luck guys if you ever read this. You are both awesome people and I hope this change will bring loads of happiness to your lives. Look after each other. You will be sorely missed, but I know we'll see you again! (Oh and Lizz, the locker offer is still open :)

Santa Phil & Team Ferrari
Santa Phil and his merry elves came to visit us at Telecom today. And Team Ferrari got our picture taken with him. What a sorry looking bunch we are!
Is it me or does Santa Phil look a bit out of it? Hey if I was Santa, having to deal with all those kids at this time of the year, I'd develop some kind of habbit too....
Only 8 days til I go on holiday!
Peace

Birthday Day
Yay! As of yesterday 23 years of age. Phew! Feel old now... Not as old as Harriet tho :)
Had to work on my birthday, but it was ok. Lizz pulled me off queue for most of the day so it was a stress free day (Have I said she's awesome lately? :).
Unfortunately my sinuses are playing up again. It's so bad, everytime I blow my nose it instantly fills up again. Going to the hospital to see a specialist soon for it. Just have to make it through December and start of Jan and hopefully they will be able to fix it or at least make it better. I'm taking too many sick days because of it.
Anyway, afterwards Harriet, bubs, and I went to mums for birthday dinner. My uncle Hans and cousin Rudi were there and Rudi brought his gf (sorry dude, I have no idea how to spell her name but you know who I mean). So we ate and had cake and talked and laughed. Was good. Made me forget about wanting to keel over with sickness.
I took today off from work. Was way too out of it to be useful. Sux, I had a lot to do too.
Tomorow's another day.

Birthday Weekend
It's Saturday night now. We've had an eventfull two days off. Had the telecom xmas party last night which was awesome, mainly becase I got to hang out with the people I work with outside of work which is great because they're really cool people. We went with Lizz and Jason. They have been great to us, really true friends. I will be sad to see them leave for Tasmania next friday, but will make the effort to visit them in Taz sometime next year! Prashilla was completely tanked as well which as usual is a great laugh, she gets into a mix of cute and randy :)
We left Sophia at Mary's which was good. Mary took her to her own work xmas party which was great as it sounded like Soph had a really good time. She was an absolute shite today. I dont know why. Maybe grandma lets her run wild when we're not there!
This morning we went to St Lukes with Tsz to do some pre xmas window shopping. So many people to get things for! After that we had to rush to the airport to pick up Harriet's cousin Tom. We waited two hours for him but its all good. It was great to see him again, its been a year. After we all went back to Mary's to have dinner.
Tomorow is my birthday. Horray! .... umm, well not quite. Another year older, yipee...
Anyway, sleep now. Have work in the morning.
